About Our Team
The Vinings Estates Dolphins Swim Team was founded 18 years ago in 2004 by Kathy Merkel, a dedicated volunteer and Vinings Estates resident. Through her hard work and dedication, our team has established a winning legacy in the Cobb Summer Swim League (CSSL) over the years, thanks to a long list of incredible parent volunteers and Vinings Estates residents (including by not limited to Traci Abel and Nisha Dave), strong coaches and enthusiastic swimmers. Though COVID required us to cancel our 2020 swim season, 2021 will be remembered as the COVID Comeback Season, when a small team with a big heart held our position in the West Gold division.
We are excited for a "more normal" 2022 swim season! Our 2022 Parent Coordinators are Julie Buckley, Chen Maupin, Robyn Feather, Dana Hall, Lavita Williams and "Coach Mom" Kim Trumble. Thank you to all of our parent volunteers! The Dolphins couldn't do it without you!

Registration opens to our returning families first, then registration will open for all new swimmers during the Open Registration period. (During Open Registration Vinings Estates residents have priority for open spaces and are filled on a first come, first served basis.) This is industry policy among our competitors.
All fees must be paid at the time of registration through our online registration system. Non-residents pay an additional fee, as set forth as policy by the Vinings Estates Homeowners Association.
Our team sometimes has a wait list for certain age groups and spots fill up quickly, so please pay attention in the early spring to the registration opening dates.
