The Vinings Estates Dolphins Swim Team is a summer league swimming organization in Smyrna, GA participating in the West Gold Division of the Cobb County Summer Swim League (CSSL) https://cobbsummerswimleague.swimtopia.com/ We have both male and female athletes ages 5 to 18. Swimmers must be 5 years old by May 31, 2026 and able to independently swim the length of the pool. Our season runs from the middle of May to the end of June. Optional postseason swimming goes to almost the end of July.

The Vinings Estates Swim Team was founded in 2004. Over the years, we have developed a reputation as a positive summer neighborhood amenity that trains swimmers and grows our kids from active children to responsible teenagers. This legacy is thanks to a long list of incredible parent volunteers and Vinings Estates residents, strong coaches, the support of the HOA, and most importantly, our enthusiastic swimmers. 

Please read our materials carefully to understand if your child meets the requirements and will be available to participate on the team. THESE ARE NOT SWIM LESSONS: this is a competitive swim team. We understand practices can be a challenge with working parents and camps; however, your child is signing up to be on a TEAM and with that comes commitment and responsibility. The coordinators and coaches work hard behind the scenes to make each season a success. 

Fun First. Fast Always: The Dolphins are proud to emphasize both strong competition AND fun. This is a team home for all types of swimmers: both fiercely competitive AND neighborhood loving, pure summer fun enthusists. 

Our 2026 volunteer Co-Head Coordinators are Julie Buckley and Aileen Hughes. The other supporting coordinators are Teri Coons/Volunteers, Carole Baker/Communications, Julie Saylor/Concessions, Derek Hardy/Premier Meets and Brittany Gurley/Coordinator-at-Large. 2026 registration details are as follows:

March 16- Returning Swimmer Registration Opens
previous swim families will be sent a private link via email. 

March 30 - New Swimmer Registration Opens (Vinings Estates Residents ONLY)
The registration link will be provided via Vinings Estates email communication. 

April 13 - IF SPACE ALLOWS New Swimmer, Non-Resident Registration Opens
At this point, the registration page will be made public.

April 17 - Swimmer Registration Closes

Registration & Cancellation Policies

Registration opens to our returning families first, then registration will open for all new swimmers during the Open Registration period. (During Open Registration Vinings Estates residents have priority for open spaces and are filled on a first come, first served basis.) This is industry-standard policy among our competitors. 

Our team has a wait list for certain age groups and spots fill up quickly, so please pay attention to the registration dates. 

All fees must be paid at the time of registration through our online registration system.The registration fee for 2026 is $200 for residents and $225 for non residents. The fee includes the following: instruction from coaches; meet entries; Cobb County fees; HOA costs; t-shirts; swim caps; lifeguards; insurance policy and End of Season party. Because team expenses are incurred prior to the start of the season, there will be no refunds given for swimmers who drop from the roster on or after May 1, 2026. For swimmers who drop after registration, but prior to May 1, a full refund, less a $30 administrative fee, will be given.
