MCC meet details for Monday

Dolphins, It is almost time for our last meet!! Time has flown by (or splashed......) It will be an AWAY meet, at Marietta Country Club. Information listed below should cover everything you need to know to be ready!!! Fun first. Fast always. Go Dolphins!!

What: Vinings Estates vs. Marietta Country Club at MCC

When: Monday, June 22

Where: 1400 Marietta Country Club Dr NW Kennesaw GA 30152

Time:5pm arrival! 5:30pm warmups. 6pm meet begins.

Parking: Across the main drive in the large lot (when facing the large clubhouse, the main parking lot is on the right) Please do not park on the road outside of the gates

 Drop Off: Feel free to drop off swimmers, chairs, etc. in the portico area, but it is not a long walk.

Meet arrival and logistics: We will be on the visitors side, near the shallow end of the pool, to the right of the Rose Pavilion. Please do not set up under the Rose Pavilion.

Volunteers: If you are scheduled to volunteer, we will have a round table set up at the Front Gate. Please check in with Teri Coons and look for her volunteer email.

Theme: Pink Out to support the fight against Breast Cancer

What to Bring: Chairs, Black Sharpie, extra pair of goggles (they do break and get lost), swim cap if you use one, two towels, sweatshirt, spf, bug spray. Credit card for concessions. If you have younger swimmers, toys or games to entertain them in the bullpen while they wait for their event is a smart idea.

What NOT to Bring: NO ALCOHOL. Do NOT bring it. If alcohol is found, we can be fined and the meet forfeited.

 
Bullpen: See Map. It’s a bit of a distance from our Away Team bullpens to the back of the starting blocks. Bullpen volunteers and parents of 5-8 year olds, please help one another to be sure our youngest swimmers are in place in plenty of time for his/her races!

Weather: We swim when it is cold. We swim when it rains. If you have declared YES to swim, you are expected to SHOW UP!!!! I will be sending alerts via SwimTopia if there are any delays or cancelations on meet day. If there is a thunderstorm delay, please do not leave the meet location. If the meet is cancelled, you will receive an alert.

Concessions MCC will have the following from 5:30-8:30pm: wraps, hot dogs, chicken fingers, drinks and chips. Snack bar items (ice cream, drinks and chips) are available until event 65. Credit Card only, no cash no venmo. 

Which Events/Check In Process: When you arrive at the pool, each swimmer MUST CHECK IN WITH THE COACHES SO THEY KNOW YOU HAVE ARRIVED. PARENTS, EVEN IF YOU HAVE USED THE APP TO SEE YOUR CHILDS EVENTS,THEY MUST STILL CHECK IN WITH THE COACHES. Otherwise you will get a text from me looking for them. This is a very important part of our check-in process. 

 
Ribbons: The final ribbons can be picked up during the End of Season party on Wednesday night. 

 
Lastly: A few important things.

  • Please be gracious guests and pick up after yourselves and your children.
  • Remember to RSVP for the End of Season party.
  • Please consider donating to the coaches gift fund! Venmo: @J-Saylor Zelle-(404) 583-6205. They have worked very hard for your children this season.
